All you need to know about having an amazing GatesFest!
Q: When is GatesFest?
A: GatesFest will take place on Sunday, October 20th, 2024.
Q: What time is GatesFest?
A: Doors will open at 4:00pm and it will end at 9:00pm.
Q: What is the cost of a ticket to GatesFest?
A: Tickets are free for all attendees, however an $18.00 donation is suggested.
Q: Can I get VIP tickets to GatesFest?
A: There is one ticket type for GatesFest, which is general admission. We do not have a VIP category available this year.
Q: How can I get a ticket to GatesFest?
A: Visit www.gatesfest.org and click the black oval at the top of the page that says “get your tickets today!” This will take you to Eventbrite where you can secure tickets. Please get a separate ticket for each person in your party so we have their name at check in. Duplicate names will not be admitted.
Q: What do I need to bring with me to check-in at GatesFest?
A: A valid form of ID that matches the name on each ticket. Children and those without a form of government issued identification may enter with a person from their family with ID.
Q: Are outside food and drinks allowed into GatesFest?
A: No, outside food and drinks are not allowed at GatesFest. We will be offering several different food and beverage options for purchase.
Q: How can I pay for food and beverage at GatesFest?
A: All vendors will accept credit cards and many will accept cash as well. You will be able to purchase drink tickets for alcoholic beverages. Drink tickets will be $5 each and all proceeds will benefit Gates of Prayer.
Q: What is the bag policy at GatesFest?
A: You and your guests are permitted to bring small bags into GatesFest, which will be searched prior to entering the building. All bags and personal items will be subject to search and wanding.
Q: What areas of the building will be open for GatesFest?
A: The Manheim social hall, the Bart community room, the sanctuary (food and drink will not be permitted into this space), and the lobby. All other spaces within the building will not be accessible.
Q: Where can I park?
A: Parking will be available in our parking lot on a first come, first serve basis. Once the lot is full, parking will be available in the neighborhood like previous GatesFests. Please be thoughtful when parking in the neighborhood making sure not to block driveways and intersections.
Q: What happens if I need to leave? Can I come back in?
A: You can absolutely re-enter, whoever you will be subject to a bag search and wanding again.
Q: Where will the performances take place?
A: The three bands that are scheduled to perform will play on the bimah. The kumzitz programming will take place in the center of the Manheim and will be led by our very own Jordan Lawrence.
Q: Will there be an artists’ village?
A: Yes! The artists’ village will be located in the outer sanctuary.
Q: Will there be special activities for children?
A: GatesFest will look very different this year, so while we will not have special activities for children, the entire Fest will be fun and family-friendly.
Q: Will babysitting be available?
A: Babysitting will not be available, and we kindly ask that children that attend GatesFest stay with their families during the event.
Q: Do I have to be a member to attend GatesFest?
A: No! We welcome all ticketed guests with a valid government issued ID and ticket.
Q: Where can food and beverage be enjoyed during GatesFest?
A: Food and beverage from our amazing vendors can be enjoyed in the Manheim social hall or the Bart community room. Absolutely no food and beverage will be permitted in the sanctuary.
REMINDERS:
Everyone must have their own ticket. Please speak with Rabbi Gerber if changes need to be made to your tickets.
Everyone must have a valid form of government issued identification at the door. Children and young adults without state IDs will be permitted with an adult.
No food or beverage will be permitted in the sanctuary during GatesFest.
All attendees will be subject to bag checks and wanding.
Please be prepared to pay for food and beverages using credit cards. Cash will also be accepted by some vendors.
